Cyclethon Program from Penang to Taipei on 03/07/2010

Penang Animal Sanctuary Society is organizing a Cyclethon Program from Penang to Taipei by Mr Por Cheng Han on 03/07/2010 and expected will take 50days to reach Taipei. The main purpose of this event is to raise awareness among the public on animal welfare and animal rights.

Kindly help to seek co-operation from your cycling club to assist to get some local connection for below route:

1. Butterworth

2. Sungai Petani

3. Alor Setar

4. Bukit Kayu Hitam

We hope that the person from local cycling association will assist Mr Por during emergency and if possible, escort him to the next destination.

Green-Gold Eco Ride, 6 June 2010

The second edition of the Green - Gold Ride, also known as the Eco-ride got off to a wet start due to the heavy

morning shower. We were delighted with the big turnout and enthusiastic support despite the rain.

We had riders all the way from Australia, Japan, Sungai Petani, Lunas, Kulim, Sungai Bakap, BM and the island. Not to mention the local contingents from Sungai Puyu and Raja Uda.

To All, we'd like to extend our heartfelt thanks for the great support and cooperation for a great ride.

In hindsight, we note that some powerful riders were too strong for the family groups and in future, we will break up the ride into different categories for a smoother ride and better management.
