Green-Gold Ride 2010

The Green Gold Ride is scheduled for Sunday, 17 January 2010.
Start point is in front of SMK Telok Air Tawar - opposite Caltex petrol station.

Gathering at 6.45am. Take -off at 7.00am sharp.

The ride will take you through the picturesque padi fields around
Penaga, up to Kuala Muda fishing village and back to the start point.
There will be a rest stop near the Kuala Muda beach area for rest and light
refreshments and photo session. You can also catch a view of Penang Island from the mainland.
The Kuala Muda beach area was hit by the Boxing Day Tsunami back in 2004.

The going will be slow and easy. This is not a race! There will be plenty of opportunities for
photo breaks and the chance to catch the idyllic scenes of the rural countryside with swaying coconut palms and green gold padi fields.

Green gold ride in collaboration with Penang State Sports Council on 17.01.2010. A short 24 km Family early morning ride through the green green padi fields & several malay kampungs in Northern Seberang Perai.

Malakoff Interstate Fellowship Ride

Spanning over three states and two years. What a ride!! Our hats off to KOTRT and Malakoff for the great idea and excellent organisation. We had a great time enjoying the great scenery and the fellowship. The experience of riding across the Penang Bridge was especially priceless.

Our hats off too to the ladies who took part. They were fierce competitors. Ladies, you were awesome!

Once again , our congratulations to the organisers and all the participants for a unique start to 2010. Happy New Year.

Hi Pals,

The Pantai Merdeka 49km trail run on 22.11.09 was hell of a tough one. Our senior rider Mr Guan & youngster Chern Chie did it in a breeze of 1 hr 50 minutes! well done!
However the others did it quite good, following closely behind. (Soon, peng, mike) Whereas Big Bob & Lam had a difference liking for the coconut water, thus drop off to have their fair share of it by themselves! It was a wonderful cloudy day, but its quite taxing as we had not been ridding for the past weeks. Overall it was a good trip, Thanks to all participants.

Our next ride will be 29.11.09 and this time we are going for the longer trail to Pantai Merdeka again which is going to be somewhere around 65 to 70 km. C u all at 7am sharp sunday morning for those interested! thanks.
